Welcome to our very first blog post to celebrate our first anniversary! It has been an incredible journey filled with challenges, growth and countless magical moments. As the mompreneurs behind this venture, we are excited to share the story of how Stitcharoo Kids came to life and the mission that continues to drive us forward.
The Spark of Our Story
We first crossed paths in the fast-paced corporate world some 15 years ago. After being friends for years, both of us embarked on a life-changing journey when we became first-time moms during the global pandemic. This unexpected twist in our lives brought with it the unique challenge of balancing our careers with the joys and demands of motherhood. Yet, amid the uncertainty, it also offered us a precious gift: time. Time to bond with our children, to witness their milestones, and to savor the magic that each day brought.
Embracing the Magic in Everyday Moments
The pandemic, with its constraints, taught us to find joy in simplicity and to cherish every little moment. Whether it was seeing our children's eyes light up at their favorite meals, hearing their delighted squeals as they took their first steps, or feeling their soft hands grasping ours as we cuddled, these experiences became the cornerstone of our journey as mothers. They reminded us of the importance of creating meaningful connections and lasting memories with our little ones.
The Birth of Stitcharoo Kids
As mothers navigating through the pandemic, we faced the daunting task of finding baby essentials during the lockdown. The struggle of finding affordable, quality clothing that we could trust without seeing or feeling in person inspired a vision. We wanted our first business venture as mompreneurs to be meaningful — a way to help fellow parents navigate their journey by providing a thoughtfully curated selection of baby and kids' clothes that would make their children feel safe and ready to explore the world around them. Thus, Stitcharoo Kids was born, opening its virtual doors on January 12, 2024.
